ZeldaCrown

(Zelda crown tutorial here, although I only roughly followed it.) Below: I made Mark’s shield, and my Hylian apron was painted by my incredibly talented and artistic sister Natalie.

A new semester of music class is starting next week! In Sound Beginnings we learn vocal and pitch development, rhythm and beat, classical music, ear training, and solfège, all through fun games and musical play. If you know any 0 to 4 year olds who love to play, jump, dance, run, and sing, this class is for them! Classes are Tuesday and Wednesday mornings; let me know if you’d like to come try a free sample class. The one who always gave me a goodnight kiss on the cheek when you were a little kid and I was tucking you into bed every night. The one who was an encyclopedia of knowledge about zoology and paleontology. The one who brought characters and entire worlds to life through your imagination and your art. The one who always had the patience and love to help me with my boys, to play with them and teach them and be their friend. The one with the killer singing voice and wickedly funny deadpan humor. The one who always made us chocolate chip cookies, just because. It’s been one year and nothing is the same without you. Thia, I miss you so much and I love you forever. About a hundred hours sweating in bee suits and half a dozen stings were well worth it to harvest 1.625 gallons of honey today! Thank you, Mother Earth and our honeybees, for our first harvest! School is starting and music class is starting soon, too! If you know any 0 to 4-year-olds who love to play, jump, dance, run, and sing, this class is for them! Early exposure is key to developing talent, so come join us for Sound Beginnings class and we’ll have fun making little musicians together. Classes are Tuesdays at 10 or 10:45; contact me if you want to come try a free sample class. Decided at 11 pm last night to make this poster for Thia for the Scottish Festival today. It wasn’t the same without her. Spots are filling up fast in my fall Sound Beginnings class! I'd love to have you and your little one join us. Come to a FREE sample class on Tuesday, June 28th at 10:30 am to see what it’s all about! Splash Summit Triathlon! I ran, Joe biked, and Mark swam. We took second place out of all the teams, which we definitely weren’t expecting. Go Sexy Llama Unicorns for Thia! Last night was magical! THANK YOU to everyone who came to our cargo bike roundup and screening of MOTHERLOAD. It was so great to see families from all over the valley come together to test ride cargo bikes and ebikes, learn from each other, and get inspired by a fantastic film. Thank you @madsencycles for sponsoring this fantastic event and @springvillelibrary for generously hosting us! (Photos reposted from @hobblecreekbike with permission.) In March of 2020 I was drowning. My brother Evan had just passed away, and the loss was consuming. I had a 4yo, a 2yo, and a 5-month-old old, and a baby to care for. My husband was working long hours while serving as bishop of our VERY demanding ward. I was buried by grief, depression, and exhaustion.
