I have worked as a professional historical writer and researcher since 2007. My experience is in historical and business writing and research, and I am experienced in Spanish and English content creation, as well as translation.

From 2012 to 2013 I was employed by FamilySearch, the largest genealogy organization in the world, to create historical articles, how-to pages, and video tutorials for the company’s genealogy research wiki. Before that I worked as the lead writer and researcher for Global Genealogists, a historical research firm.

From 2007 to 2010 I wrote weekly historical and biographical articles featured in an e-newsletter with a circulation of more than 30,000 readers. My articles published in the newsletter total more than 200.

In 2009 I spent two months living in Spain, researching the histories and genealogies of various client families and writing research reports to submit to clients. During that time I also conducted historical research with the help of a federal grant; my findings and my paper were featured in the Women’s Research Colloquium at my university later that year.

I am also an experienced photographer and blogger, having maintained my own travel, food, DIY home project, history, and lifestyle blog since January of 2008.
